I never thought I'd see Katy Perry or Taylor Swift on a best-of Pitchfork list.
I've never actually listened to Katy Perry of Taylor Swift so maybe I'm in the wrong?
though including 1989 without even reviewing the album comes off as insincere tokenism.
if they're not serious in their coverage/opinion of pop music, then leave it to People magazine please.
Though imo, it should be near the top of pretty much every year end list.
I suggest you take a look at this list from 2004
In the presence of Toxic, Heartbeat and 99 Problems?
At the same time as Pitchfork was moving towards the mainstream would there be any 'converging' (neither of these things are happening by the way)
Thanks for making me understand what it really means
Anything else I can help you with?
And how to become a more likeable person
we both know Paramore are the greatest pop rock band of our generation
If it makes you feel any better
