Who is the best drummer of all time?
or the guy from Deff Leppard.
it's about the best drummer, sorry if the OP wasn't PERFECTLY CLEAR
some of my favourite drummers:
kat bornefeld (the ex)
greg saunier (deerhoof)
kat mitchell (the pastels)
alex neilsen (ashtray navigations/trembling bells)
which is the single most awkward thing I've ever seen, I think.
he's got great comic timing
*spends 3 minutes climbing around his drum kit and bends down to a mic stand which is inexplicably small*
thanks..... for coming ..... to this show
*goes back to his drums*
kid millions (oneida / man forever)
or the DSI Tempest.
forgot his name, someone will know. (drummer)
it's usually seb rochford
Favourite: Danny Carey (Tool)
also bill ward weren't half bad
some of my favourite drummers are:
john 'drumbo' french
probably some jazz drummers, some other other people as well
Let's talk about Flea statement first. What about Jaco Pastorius or Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, Matt Freeman or even Trevor Dunn.
i've never seen Jaco Pastorius unleash a raw torrent of sticky white funk-metal over an unsuspecting Reading and Leeds audience - while wearing only a knob sock ?
did Les Claypool from Primus do the above - and then go on to play alongside Ornette Coleman on a live version of the defining jazz album of the 1950s ?
Flea played a Radiohead song with a member of Radiohead, in front of members of Radiohead. possibly the greatest bass moment of all time
BUT he formed a POWER supergroup featuring him, Stewart Copeland from the Police and Trey from Phish
with a terrible name
AND THE MOON
lol I jest
slappa da bass mon
No fuckn argument ok
Going to immediately revise my Bonham nomination
No-one else can drum as fast as he does in Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors
but jimmy chamberlain is a really good drummer.
i really like his ridiculous oversized kits in the live videos of them from the early 90s.
thanks for your time
Like even Tom Waits has Flea on his records.
I'm still questioning Flea's supposed status. He can play bass, that's about it. Greatest? Maybe you should listen to a whole lotta music.
I just remembered how good at bas, Flea is. so good
Number 1: Flea
Number 2: ...
What's the point?! Flea just totally slays! He and Chad should leave The Peppers and start a new band with Frush again!
2. Flea on an off day
3. Flea when he takes a day off
4. Flea when he's asleep
5. Flea, before he was born
this thread is about drummers, not Flea
he plays them so hard and fast, it just sounds like real funky slap bass. phenomenal.
and I approve of it 100%
-Brian Chippendale from Lightning Bolt
-The aforementioned Ben Koller of Cave In
-JR Conners from Cave In
-Chuck in an older one so it makes it look like I know what I'm talking about. Who are those guys from the 50s who did that jazzy drum battle video everyone's always sharing on Facebook? One of them. The one on the left.
(and stand-in drummer of Cave In, briefly)
