Cos that ruined it.
Are you high or even more thin skinned than me? :'''')
And yet Converge have been friends of his a long time so it wasn't much of a surprise that happened.
Kurt is the best fucking guitarist in the scene, bar none. Good set although notably missing a couple showstoppers. Can't believe they played Grim Heart though
I quite like the Möngöl Hörde album.
And ended up stood with Jacob screaming into the mic.
so i stayed at home and wrote some music that sounds like coldplay instead
didn't even know they were playing
Because I heard Frank Turner
I haven't seen them for a long time for fear of them playing a lot of new material
they're a big band with a big selection of albums to play all the big songs from, so yeah, they didn't play enough old songs (3 off enema (only 1 that's not overplayed everywhere) and 4 off take off..., plus dammit and carousel), but the other songs are pretty much all fun live. I was upset that they have a load of Aliens Exist t-shirts on the merch, but didn't play it and it doesn't look like they play it much. still Looking forward to seeing them again at Reading.
Would've swapped out Grim Heart/Black Rose for pretty much anything though. Could've played Heartless another 4 times in that time. Oh well.
There were tons of songs that should have been in there.
But I love that even not playing all the hits they're still just better than...most bands :D
J is also hilariously good at swinging the mic
This was the last time I saw them, 7 years ago in Kingston!
and not solely using them for running onto peoples heads it's all gone more hollywood!
(See also Dillinger who were the biggest bunch of showy chumps last time I saw them after Option Paralysis)
the infamous running over the heads of the crowd incident happened well before Option Paralysis. That said watching Greg jumping off the balcony at Koko last year was quite something...
and going a bit wild. Now it feels like they are busted, with lot's of jumping in time, walking along bars etc. I dunno, just felt funny. Saying that, there was the fire breathing and drum throwing all those years ago.....
The running over the heads of the crowd was more a reference to converge. The DVD is ridiculous. I don't know the infamous running over the heads of crowd incident with dillinger!?
it's a fucking incredible song
but its 9 minutes long and not really what you want at a Converge gig
great to have at least one of their 'slower' songs.
variety is the spice of life, yeah?
Slowed down quite a bit in the middle. Not as good as KOKO show.
Hopefully this means they're at Primavera next year (same weekend).
Hoping for other European shows as I'll be in Germany then
At the venue 'formally' known as ULU, with motherfucking Trap Them!
Not heard them or Harms Way. Really slack with heavy stuff these days, but the new Trap Them is right up there with my favourite albums this year.
Otherwise really good line-up. Going to be in the middle of nowhere in Germany when this happens. :(
Pine Barrens, Hexis and to a lesser extent Raspberry Bulbs
We got Touche Amore and Deafheaven last year. Converge is a possibility no?
pretty cheap an' all
I know people don't check that or PMS so here I am shouting at you
