Can't believe that a thread hasn't been started on this amazing album. 4 years in the making and from the off its a beast of resonance and sustain! A must for all of you compiling their EOY lists as the year progresses. Enjoy
yep they're releasing it on 1/4" tape reel in 3.75, 7.5, 15 & 30 ips.
this band will not play within a 50 mile radius (minimum) from where I live. Thats if they ever decide on coming to the UK.
So you're not a fan cat_race? its up there with the Swans, Afghan Whigs and Mogwai for AOTY so far, new Shellac album would beat them all when they pull their finger out and release it, if Primavera was anything to go by.
we all definitely believe that you're not in the austerity program!!
(i hate swans, afghan whigs and mogwai)
But I'm getting slightly annoyed by your hipster arrogance.
Prove, that I'm in the band.
Also I didn't want to know if you like swans, afghan whigs or Mogwai too.
Apologies for giving a shit about a band I'll never get the chance of seeing live let alone be affiliated with.
Absolutely superb; dark, heavy and utterly ferocious in places. The drum machine - dear god, they've pushed that to the limit, more so than on the Backsliders EP; it's utterly dominating and punishing. Song 30, Song 33 and Song 36 stand out for me at the moment, but it's all fantastic.
BURN YOU, BREAK YOU, AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN
Someone genuinely excited about new music that isn't force fed or hyped.
It is a breath of fresh air to hear a simple recipe done spectacularly well.
I didn't even know they were releasing an album until someone here or on another site (forget which) linked up a track on soundcloud.
Song 32 is like some kind of weird Industrial-synth-punk demolition. Love it.
hate this kind of music so much. that bass guitar sound makes me want to be sick
but I was well into Black Madonna when it came out in 2007, played that to (almost literal) death and then (almost literally) didn't hear much else after that.
Will definitely be listening to this, cheers for the heads up it sounds like another good 'un.
sounds really good. Song 33 is my favorite so far.
