Jamiroquai, then. Their albums go on forever (at least, the first three, which I've heard). So did the one live show I saw (at a festival, many years back). But when they weren't excessively jazz-funking, they could bash out a great single. This may be an unfashionable opinion. But I rather liked Deeper Underground, Cosmic Girl, Virtual Insanity, Too Young To Die...
Come at me bro.
but jamiroquai has jams for sure.
when his bass player/co-writer left part-way through recording his fourth album, Jay Kay scrapped everything and started again rather than grant him credit/royalties for any of it ... I'm torn between being impressed and appalled at this behaviour
.. basically sound no different from some of the stuff on Random Access Memories.
Love this clip:
is great stuff, some top singles and a fun live band
plus learn his bass parts and you will be able to then play pretty much every bassline in modern pop, funk, soul and jazz whatever
Anyone seen him live? i'd love to, his tunes are so good.
