This isn't a thread to bemoan the downfall of music, far from it there is more amazing music being made than ever. Thing is, every so often I feel like it has been ages since something completely new to me grabbed me intensely and became a favourite for a long time. There are songs here and there, albums which are a good few plays in succession worthy but then nothing for months and months.

I feel like a smack head chasing that first elusive high.
