What do you folks think of humor in music?
I just started listening to Comedy Death Ray, which is a talk show podcast that occasionally features comedy songs, and I noticed that I almost immediately write them off as humorous one-offs that I'll probably never listen to again. Part of this is obviously just that humor in general doesn't survive multiple tellings/listenings very well, but I also think my brain tends to preemptively reject the music side. Indie these days tends to be pretty po-faced, but I was wondering if anyone has any examples of songs that manage to be great music and funny at the same time.
