5th July 2014. To be announced tomorrow.
it's just one of them. Which one is To be announced tomorrow.
Patrick Wolf playing the same songs again and again.
“Not long ago I listened to The Libertines songs on YouTube and had a burst of nostalgia so I said what the heck, and then they told me how much they will pay us and I cannot lie to you I couldn’t say no, at least not in my state right now. I was recently called to family law court after a young girl I knew had told me I was the father of her baby. I have a year and a half old girl and I need to pay a lot of alimony, I’m in debt. It’s very complicated for me to say no right now, I have financial problems.”
Is he clean? It's of no interest to me musically, but will people who turn up at least get something resembling a show?
...then it's hard to be against it tbh tbf.
for the cash, and the cash only.
And for that reason I fully support this event. (not by actually going of course)
Fuck knows why?
Pavement were best at all this. Yep, it is for the money, doesn't mean it isn't going to be brilliant fun for everyone.
Not listened to them in some time but hoped that being out of the limelight would be good for him. Guess he'd come to depend on those bungs from tabloids/the NME...
Haven't they already reformed once or twice, though?
prepared to pay £50+ for this is there?
Far, far too big for The Libertines? Are there really that many people who still care?
There were a huge, huge number of teenagers at the time who spent most of their time following them round. The NME was basically Heat magazine for Libertines gossip for a couple of years. I don't think they'd have much staying power as a reformed group, but as a one-shot nostalgia hit, they'll attract loads of people.
bastard-fest in that crowd i'd wager.
then this thread will reach 500 replies tomorrow. Possibly.
deffo supports the theory that it'd be a bastard-fest for certain.
shame about the rest of that shite
The Libertines w/ The Pogues, Maximo Park, Spiritualized, Reverend and the Makers, The Enemy, The Rifles, The View, The Twang.
to the above post.
didn't mention Spiritualized or Maximo Park. I guess for the narrative of what the person in question was putting across, he wanted to omit the fact that there are two decent bands on the bill...
The Pogues will probably be alright too if the frontman behaves himself.
