A Grand Don't Come For Free has dated really badly for some reason.
It's THE STREETS. Just get on with it.
I only have Pirate, which I love, and HWTMAEL which underwhelms so I never went any further. Now i shall.
to be the best of the 00's. I'm totally on board with that opinion, it sounds as fresh as the first time I ever heard it (which, incidentally, was on Chris Moyles breakfast show) Probably an all-timer that one.
is my 2nd favorite streets album. Legitimately don't understand how it isn't more regarded.
I accept that OPM is the most original, but.... I just really love AGDCFF. I just like the way the story moves along and the way the final track (Empty Cans?) has the dual ending thing going on.
Now I've said that, I have to say that there is one clunkingly bad track on it - the one about being a gambling addict. That was a sad precursor for the subsequent album(s).
