Fuck off the lot of you

I assumed this was why the thread was created.

Like Wevie Stonder.
go see Com Truise live if you can...
add in Joanna Gruesome
well, I have listened to their music, but begrudgingly so due to their name.
they would be better off with a different singer.
If your name is that lazy, I know I don't need to bother with the music. (RE the other thread: Perfect Pussy is a bit of an adolescent are-you-shocked-yet monkier, but it's not terrible, and at least it kind of suits the everyone play as fast as you can approach they have.)
I think literally any name could be accused of being lazy, as they are all pretty much meaningless chosen because the band likes the sound of it, dont see how joanna gruesome is a particularly lazy name. They are really good too, only uk band ive liked for years.
are they Twee as fuck? That name sure makes it sound like they are...
as the name is just stoopid
what a mistake, phenomenal stuff
it was Slave Ambient that disappointed for me - I expected it to sound like Haxan Cloak for some reason. I was disappointed when it didn't.
That said, I wouldn't listen to Sheep On Drugs either, as that's also a stupid name.
Their '93 album 'Greatest Hits' is a lost classic. Everything after should be avoided.
15 Minutes of Fame:
Was just skimming the "Recommend me albums from 2014 so far" and noticed that very few had some description of what they sound like. Not even a lazy gesture towards naming a genre.
It occurred to me that in the absence of such detail, the only thing I was going on was whether the band name brought up connotations of a genre/sound that I like, and if so, I'd follow it up. All the others — regardless of whether their names are inherently shit (Sun Kil Moon, Thee Silver Mt. Zion, Eagulls) or just uninspiring (Ed Harcourt, Young Fathers, Polar Bear) — remain unheard, until someone tells me that they've released the shoegaze album of the year.
that said, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone has proved a consistent sticking point
