New album in May - anyone else a fan? I loved Wounded Rhymes.
Hear a lot of that album's influence over all the moody r&b artists who are dominating all the hype lists at the moment. Looking forward to see what she comes up with this time.
can't wait for the second. Keeping it simple.
Loved both the first two
She's playing that 6Music festival in Manchester tomorrow though. Hope she doesn't clash with BBC.
They're playing on different stages
I thought she had an ongoing feud with the BBC or something...
I follow rivers is one of my favourite songs and I'm glad to see (from the trailer and recent interviews) she's going for a more stripped back approach.
plus two London dates
I do love the VU though and have never seen her live so will probably go...
...that they wouldn't go to gigs there any more. Seemed strange.
at the bbc6 thing
noticed that the camera rebooted itself on the 2nd or 3rd song of the set, so probably dont have the entire thing on their site
Really like the songs they've put out so far
this is really good. Dangerous though, I can't seem to be able to close the webpage in time to stop it from replaying...completely hooked.
Just over half an hour long, wasn't expecting it to be that short
oh so sweet. In a way I'm glad she clearly picked the very best tracks and went for a more direct approach.
Singles aside I'm really liking I Never Learn, Heart Of Steel and Just Like A Dream so far...
first one was okay but the second one was really good
gonna listen to the third one when i don't have a bad head
her diction bothers me a bit but melodically it is very strong... http://iplugtoyou.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/lykke-li-i-never-learn-review.html
it's fucking outstanding. Dunno how she basically sticks 9 potentially very cheesy power ballads on an album and makes it work, but it really does. The production's perfect, it sounds lush - widescreen and rainsoaked at times and desperately intimate at others.
And absolutely, painfully honest and genuine. The album is definitely one of the very best of the year. Should have got way more credit than it has.
