Other way round. Love Below is rubbish except for two songs, Speakerboxx is rubbish except for three songs. Speakerbooox has GHETTO MUSICK on it, the best Outkast song ever.

  I agree Ghetto Musick is fantastic but i just couldn't get into that side. The Love Below is just....ace though.

    Hmm, I expected it to be good, I tried to like it, but I couldn't, it's too RnB for my tastes, especially that Think I'm In Love song where he dresses up as an alien in the video. Awful. Speakerbox isn't great, but I definitely prefer it to Love Below. Anyway, Stankonia is far superior to both of them.

      It's those clap clap bits at the end of each bar that screw you over. Doing anything that doesn't have four beats in a bar when you are drunk is impossible.

i'd say both cds were just about equal. personally i made a compilation of the two, filling up a 90 minute tape, and from that its more obvious just how great both albums are.

      It's a typical indie kid reaction to prefer the Love Below after all, it has guitars on it (oooo) and Andre 3000 likes the Hives but when you get down to it, Speakerboxxx is much more superior.

        I'm not saying that necessarily refers to you, The Love Below is a good album (just not as good as Speakerboxxx) but you have to admit that loads of "NME kids" (for lack of a better term) heard the Love Below and thought they were 'down with the streets' and in addition to that loads of magazines, websites etc that would never normally touch a band that didnt admit to being inspired by the smiths started loving this album and a lot went on the tangent that "finally, rock is civilising rap". Anyway, you probably don't fit into that category but a lot of people who claim to love this album but didn't touch Speakerboxx do.

        Thats fair enough. And i totally agree with that to be honest. Just your first post seemed as though you were having a dig at me for not liking Speakerboxx... I tried to get into it but I jsut couldn't. But as I said previously, Ghetto Musik really is ace.

        I was just sort of using the general argument of The Love Below being better than Speakerboxxx as a starting point. I fully understand it if you listened to it and didn't like it, it's just people who didn't even listen to it and then dismissed as bad. It's like a friend of mine who claims to love the Clash then when he had a party he put on their best of and played London Calling, I Fought The Law and Bankrobber then turned it off. Actually that might not be relevant, I don't really know.

        Yeah. Its sanitised hip hop basically. File alongside Common and Mos Def.

        I loath and detest the entire album. The best place for it is a tip far, far away. It sums up all that was crap in 2003 and like the tip far, far away so is that year.

ehhhh....i agree with kov-whatever. They only have like 4 good songs on each cd and the rest of them are bolluck. But i am with you.....for those combined 8 songs
