1. No Blues really is a fucking stellar record. I found their last couple of records a little unengaging but have embraced this one like a petulant child.
3b. Really incredible old bluegrass/blues record called 'That Last Inauguration'. Found it on Daniel Bachman's blog I think. Well worth looking up if you're into anti-Communist devotionals fingerpicked on banjo.
5. Spiritual Emergency (the track) is pretty great - not sure it's an entirely worthy follow up to See the World... but I'm still very excited to see where Greg Fox goes next. He's got a (plantable...) album coming out next month too.
7. Relistening to Replica after noticing it got a repress. I liked R Plus Seven a lot in parts but I do hope he returns to something similar to the Replica format (a bit more like trip-hop, dustier samples, a generally sort of foggier sound) maybe just for one more record as opposed to sticking with the crisp maximalism of his newest stuff.
Tera Melos in anticipation of seeing them next weekend. Proper lads, proper math-rock.
Mark McGuire's new one a fair few times - embarrassing and beautiful.
Infinite Body/Aquarelle/Secret Pyramids & some others - loads of drone to get me through Being & Time.
What have you guys been listening to?
