Well it's fucking great. You're missing out.
and had to give it a few listens for it to gel, which i didn't with them, loving the last few tracks in particular - and you can't go wrong with lines like - i sh*t in your palace - and - don't kill the messenger, kill the messengers mother ...... f*cker - had already pre-ordered - i'd say its been a slow start to the year but probably my favourite so far.
I loved them both initially, but haven't listened so much recently. Have a feeling this might hold my interest for longer.
In terms of percussion, I'm looking forward to rinsing it though and they seeing it become a totally different beast live. They're one of the best live acts I've seen in recent years.
fantastic live as well, can't wait to see them
Going to the London launch show in a couple of weeks, looking forward to it
Really reminded me of TV on the Radio, into it.
Finally a hip hop group from Scotland I can get behind, the rest give me the dry heaves.
nearly saw them live once
brilliant. thanks for the link.
interest certainly piqued here
reminds me of saul williams a bit
Line of Best Fit gave it a great write up as well
just on constant rotation right now, think it's better than their EPs :)
I love Electrowerkz as well :(
Hence, great. First thing on Anticon which actually has a groove and doesn't feel like it's been intellectualised or gentrified.
Very tempted, they're here this weekend. Does the energy of the record transfer live?
They were very good. I think I actually enjoyed them more than RtJ, but they were helped by the sound being really loud for their set. They definitely were not lacking in energy.
Would definitely have gone to the Elektrowerkz gig if I could have but I'm away then.
but they were pretty great, loads of energy. I've not heard the record yet but I'd love to see them again so I'd suggest going!
Have seen them a couple of times supporting Run the Jewels and Why? and they will be incredible. Their live show is a ridiculously visceral experience, really intense. Can only imagine how good a full length set is going to be.
