Seemed like they were pretty late announcing it this year.
Temples, Royal Blood and Circa Waves are playing as well
aside from a city
which I presume isn't what is sponsoring this tour
you'd be presuming wrong!
i noticed it a few weeks ago when their london residency was sponsored by them.
that's something new
to be fair this leicester festival might as well be sponsored by kingston-upon-thames parish council http://handmadefestival.co.uk/artist-category/2014/
Surely Brixton will sell out rapidlyso do younreckon a second date will be added?
But seeing as this tour seems a lot shorter than previous ones they may do
am i imagining it, or shouldn't the NME tour be pushing a new band up to the status of brixton academy headliner with help from a strong undercard, as opposed to a band who have fallen in grace who can now just about fill up brixton academy with 3 other bands playing under them?
but it was what i had inferred from virtually every line up preceding it
temples are decent enough on record but have been the most boring band i've seen on every occasion i've seen them. circa waves are just the next brother/the view/palma violets and not listened to royal blood.
I keep going to see Interpol in the hope I'll finally catch them play NYC and Stella, with mixed results
think we got the best setlist of the three http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/interpol/2010/o2-academy-brixton-london-england-3bd2986c.html
shorter tour, late announcement, different time of year, headlined by a band who hit their commercial peak a decade ago.. i'm glad they're still putting on tours, at least.
so they can smeg austin up with nme branding while the music industry of the entire world is there. probably the only way to secure more visibility for your brand than any other over that week is to partner directly with the city?
If it's less than 1hr 15 I pronably won't bother, depending on ticket price.
I came to them quite late as one of the Brixton 2010 nights was the first time I saw them and then again at She Bu in 2011.
