by miles, can't stand slowed down or acoustic or REALLY EMOTIONAL covers
both shite tho
I'm going to go with Keane's, because it wasn't willed into existence purely for a shopping centre advert. Also, I respect Keane's old-fashioned work ethic, even if their music is guff.
It's funny because I agree Keanes is better but I still see myself watching the whole John Lewis advert : / weather or not its because I like the advert I'm not sure
I reckon they've deliberately opted for a retro early-80s Watership Down/Farthing Wood animation style, in order to appeal to the nostalgic 40-something demographic. That's a good demographic.
...I was expecting the bear to maul all those other creatures to death at the end. 80s kids films were brutal harsh man.
yes they did
I may be horribly jaded, but at least I'm right about this one thing.
Thought I saw Pigwig in there somewhere ;)
slow, stripped down sentimental versions of songs. I blame Radio 1's live lounge, especially for people doing slow versions of perky pop songs and making them sound all emotional.

And I am sympathetic to the original.
Pulling at the heart strings but than again that's good advertising I suppose
are going to give you a good kicking
Really she says that haha

Clearly you don't like either rendition lol
