They were properly on form - really excellent. Played about 4 new songs all of which sounded well up to standard. Can't remember the name of all of them, but one was called Dog's Life and another Pregnant Pause.
I trust you're enjoying them now...
are the new songs still... synthy?
friend text me today saying oxford was amazing and the new tracks sounded great and really heavy on the bassy reverby sounds or sommat.
They are my favourite 'current' British band so whatever they do I'll lap it up.
Anyway, was hoping the next album had more base than Smother. It's one element heavily featured on Two Dancers that I missed.
more base, less superstructure
and that's not to devalue everything else going on on that album, either
2 of them were along the lines of Smother (synthy) and the others were more Two Dancers (not synthy).
Loop the Loop, Invisible, Reach a bit Further, Burning, End Come Too Soon all largely based on guitar lines.
