virgin media has blocked all the file sharing search engines i used to use
though results aren't as good as they used to be.
Only seem to find 2-3 star albums, not like the 4-5 star albums they used to release.
this seems good:
It has absolutely everything, ever.
Glad I got on it just before a lot of the blog stuff was pulled from blogs. It's worth investing your time to get on it.
Soulseek is an invaluable resource.
yeah fair enough. i do use it for some things. always had it as a 'last resort'
was about to say that also there hasn't been an updated OS X app for 7 or 8 years, when I just googled and found out there's a new one now.
Generally really good as a last resort and if you're after specific songs rather than whole albums.
Sometimes have to throw in a few extra search terms, but that's not usually an issue.
I find the wishlist search function really handy too, especially for local stuff that only a handful of Soulseek users will have. Eventually everything seems to turn up.
last updated 7 years ago or something. There's no wish list function.
only just discovered that some one has built a new mac version. Will trial it tonight.
the files are awful quality on there. i usually have a look at the spectogram in audacity to check if they're transcodes, and i'd say about 80% are.
plus use a proxy site or browser and you can still access everything.
