I am nominating for BBC Sound of, and would like to hear your thoughts.
This country jfc
I've been kick off of the judging panel (because I manage Ed Harcourt, apparently you're not allowed to vote if you're from the industry or something…) and not sure anyone from DiS gets a vote this year.
They're brilliant and playing DiSmas party http://facebook.com/drownedinsound/events
Like Some guy from Universal is like vote for this person etc... and I just think it defeats the object. So, if you aren't affiliated...
They played the DiS stage at Great Escape. Can imagine them "doing a friendly fires/alt-j" at next summer's festivals.

They've been around for years. Great on record and live. The best British indie band that not many people have heard of.
However, I guessing The Sound Of 2014 winners will be a male/female semi dance/electronica duo that I haven't heard of yet.
Normally I'm fairly good at predicting these things as well.
Heard a lot of good things about them recently, and their music fits the bill as the kind of thing that would probably come third or fourth in this kind of poll.
Though was my own fault for believing the NME write-up. They have been totally eclipsed by Ume, Now Now, Lemuria and Screaming Females as far as female led post grunge goes - in fact they sound like battle of the bands amateurs in comparison.
whoever the industry wants to get big
Probably not, really, but with their new lineup they're so much tighter, the old songs sound infinitely better, their gigs really feel like they're on the brink of something. Probably not a BBC Sound of 2014 something though unfortunately
Possibly Wolfe at a push.
