A Sunny Day in Glasgow
In my estimation, there isn't a contemporary shoegaze record that compares to Autolux's Future Perfect. But for this one, I'd hear your arguments. "A Mundane Phone Call" and "5:15 Train" are killer tracks.
Ashes Grammar, I thought, was pretty good...though a little sleepy in comparison and without the few killer tracks... and then this band fell off the radar and ...?
(OK, me too, we're all off to listen to Reflektor. Haven't heard cause for all the backlash yet -- the title track is fantastic -- but I find it amusing nevertheless.)
