Pull Tiger Tail
Usually soundtracks my trying to make eye contact with a bisexual dollybird, only to be cruelly ignored.
are you sure it wasn't Read Yellow?
Not sure Pull Tiger Tail ever had anything other than a single out.
I remember seeing them at Leeds 2007.
So I listened to them, once.
granted I think the only song of theirs I can recall is 'Lets Lightning'.
One album (PAWS) and an odds n' sods compilation. In a new band now called Thumpers who have signed to Sub Pop I think.
I'm listening to all of them right now
The first Suicide album is one of the greatest. Pops up in every dood's DJ mixes also. Well the ones I listen to anyway
Though I do have to be in a very specific mood (simultaneously despairing and mischevious).
even my mum likes Safe as Milk
that are fun to see live, but when would you ever stick one of their albums on? Unless you're some kind of mega stoner.
but your dismissal of Le Tigre just shows how lost you are.
I mean, this song, for example, is so fucking immense: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqhntKPh2EY
obviously people do listen to them but if we're talking about largest disparity between how much people blab about a band vs how often people listen to said band, it's easily the fall. on account of them being shit at music, i suppose.
once you understand the fall theres no going back, they do dominate a lot of your listening time. similar to Gucci Mane, if you understand, you understand. maybe even The Smiths fall into this sorta bracket as well.
shit at music?
Than any other single band.
People just wear the t-shirt
No-one can be *that* dull, can they?
some of the dullest people I've ever met are GBV and The Fall obsessives.
to be quite good folk
up until relatively recently, I just assumed they were a real-life Spinal Tap and associated them with a joke on Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, but they apparently have a very rabid fanbase.
then people probably listen to them.
Never Mind the Bollocks is a pop classic. I've been listening to it for years.
In the mistaken belief that it makes them seem clever and subversive.
I seem to remember there was one quite good track on that album.
well, I guess I would believe that Frank Zappa listened to them, but that's about where their fanbase begins and ends.
I listen to Merzbow though. But nobody fucking listens to Merzbow.
Yes, there are people who listen to them - I'm one of them - but they are vastly outnumbered by people who wear the t-shirt but wouldn't know a Ramones song if it twatted them with a baseball bat.
Everyone seems to have the t-shirt. I severely doubt a significant number ever listen to them.
static age is an amazing record, but yeah ramones have aged badly
