this is great news for the planet
But let's be honest, I'm not sure Snoop has a passable verse left in him. Would be happy to be proven wrong of course.
Had high hopes for the Steve Arrington team up too, but Arrington is pretty lackluster on it and Dam Funk's beats couldn't help him.
Hope Snoop pulls it together though cos this definitely has potential
pretty wishful thinking.
Snoop can make it work just with his vocals alone but his verses of late have been annoyingly bad. All he has to do is dial it in a hair and not be embarrassing. Something like http://youtu.be/KcRTSOL_XEs would work just fine.
idk when i heard about Kurupt and DJ Quik doing an album together I felt similar discomfort. I never thought it could work with Kurupt being like 8 years past his late prime and Quik not having been too active. I wouldnt say Kurupt kills it on that album but he delivers enough to not distract and Quik's production gets to carry the load. That album is maybe my fav album of the last 5 years so... who knows? I'm def not nearly as high on DamFunk as I am on Quik but if it's half as good as blaQKout then that would exceed my expectations.
that seemed like a thing for a minute.
in snoops backing band, but that was thundercat i think.
don't you reckon faden away is a jam? bodes well for the album.
jumped around a bit, sounds kinda cool. will check further
Hoping it's a return to the Dogg of old instead of the new Snoop with these collaborations with Miley Cyrus and Wiz Khalifa. Think some people forget that Snoop was the number one rapper in the game before the emergence of Pac, Biggie and Dre.
Doggystyle still passes the test of time with flying colours!
