Gonna see that tour in Brighton on Sunday and Bristol next Monday.
It's gonna be epic. The news TOTS cd is wonderful. Thoought Forms are excellent too.
Free ticket people!
My word. I'm a keen admirer of the other 2 but this is next level. Can't wait to see them on Sunday now.
All the bands were excellent, but Teeth of the Sea was just something else. By far the best I've ever seen them.
Absolutely loved it, I was a bit annoyed at how late it ran but Teeth of the Sea were definitely worth it. They're destined for great things I reckon. Their sound and lights were simply spot on, amazing.
Was pretty loud.
Impressively loud bassy sound without a bass guitar. Would definitely go see them again.
Very Sonic Youth with the chiming fast-strummed chords. Nice builds up to the NOISY bit.
Stunning set by Teeth of the Sea. All three band are a gooden but they were next level last night.
I'v been seeing them since 2008 and I can't think of another band that have just got so consistently better every step of the way and they were pretty great to begin with!!
I loved them around the time of the first record, the second was an obvious progression & this third is an absolute belter.
Throughout the period they've always been a wonderful live band. I was looking yesterday and they still only have something like 5,000 Last Fm listeners, which is absolutely criminal.
That this is the album that's going to really do it for them though. Can already feel a lot of momentum around them.
Thought Forms are ridculously underrated. Imagine if instead of recording Loveless, MBV had instead been influenced by Sleep & Earth. Doomgaze anyone?
Teeth of The Sea were the best band of the night. Just. The opener and closer from the newy as well as A.C.R.O.N.Y.M & the last track off the second record. Loud, together, perfect.
And my word Esben have come on in the 2 years or so since I've seen them. I caught them a fair bit between 2009-2011 and kind of lost interest truth be told, always promising but lacked a certain spark live. Last night was a revelation, they played as a 3 piece band with very little else going on. Daniel's a great drummer but it's still Rachel stealing the show with her effortlessly brilliant vocals.
yeah, great gig and what a bill. Thought Forms were my favourite; was a tad disappointed by Teeth of the Sea if I'm honest. I was expecting them to blow the other acts out of the water but maybe it's more a testament to the quality of the other bands that they didn't. I guess I'm used to seeing TOTS play support slots where they always have outshone the main act, but last night was just a killer all round.
It looked like some type of Arabic flute.
TOTS ace as always. I enjoyed Esben for a while but lost interest after a bit. Thoughtforms ripped it up nicely. All topped off with some relaxing grooves from DC.
