Deffo going to this though
Worra week :D
They're not kidding, they hate having their pictures taken.
I like that its so far off, half of next year to look foward
This has set my weekend up for the best mood ever!!
Do I get a ticket? Anyone know?
so they won't be converting pledges over to tickets.
Who's telling porkies here?
a bit more and it was worked out. seems to make sense to guarantee tickets to those people who pledged so glad it got sorted.
After your last message I paid to become a Roundhouse member to avoid the drudgery of trying to buy tickets this morning. Turns out I had them all along through Detour.
Unlike ATP to have such poor and contradictory communication.
I don't really want to go to gigs any more.
I'd like to see them a lot.
I call shotgun.
McEwan Hall, that's where they need to be.
These'll sell out very quickly.
but the two Jeff Mangum Union Chapel gigs were gigs of the year last year. When the band unexpectedly came down the aisles as Two Headed Boy turned into The Fool was simply stunning. You'll know what I mean if you were there.
Good luck with the no photography request. It was sort of semi self enforced by the crowd at The Union Chapel but I think it'll be unworkable at The Roundhouse, not that I'm a fan of filming gigs.
The slight disappointment when I thought he wouldn't play the fool, to hearing the drum beat behind me after a pause sliiiightly longer than I thought they could get away with... lump in the throat moment.

GLASGOW GLASGOW GLASGOW
Glasgow tickets on sale on Monday too I take it?
it's not an ATP show, the website has no ticket links and googling for it produces no results
let's all, however, take a moment to laugh at the Barrowlands' website, for it truly is the shittest thing ever http://www.glasgow-barrowland.com/ballroom.htm
saying on sale 10am Monday
also see they're putting Loop on. yay.
I just get a Sorry, the requested product is not available
just got a detour email saying ive got a ticket, weird
I pledged £20 ages ago and got an email from SongKick asking me to up my pledge to £27.50p by Sunday to guarantee a ticket.
just checked I pledged £21,474,836.47 for some reason
for your ticket. They'll just charge you £27.50p even if you've pledged more according to the email.
they sent out a new link http://www.atpfestival.com/store.php#!/~/product/category=6706745&id=28410186
anyone been charged by detour yet? said they'd charge for the tickets today but so far nothing...
have pledged £27.50p by tonight. I'm guessing that after tonight the pledges would be "locked in" and you'd be charged when tickets go on sale officially tomorrow.
£27.50 per ticket
£27.50 per ticket for 2 tickets
You will be charged £55.00 on Sunday 06 October 2013
Naturally when I didn't get charged I was a bit worried, but hopefully you're right about them being locked in tonight.
you once tickets are officially released and available. I hope you get your tickets. Should be a great gig, even though it'll be summer next year when it takes place.
thanks for your help! Hope you get your tickets too!
Hope all is well with yours.
Glad you got yours, this is gonna be fun.
10am website queues:
so easy compared to the main ATP site
Getting mine from see tickets I think
I had to lie about not being able to attend a meeting that would've gone on until 11am and my boss has had to go instead!
Not sure what I'm going to say when she comes back from the meeting and I'm still sat here. Oh well.
Bosses? Fuck em!
two options - standing & balcony
Fingers crossed. Good luck everyone.
ATP website is hanging.
That was pretty painless
ATP was crashing even before they went on sale, glad I went 'oh fuck it' and went with the evil empire on this one.
Manchester booked. Seetickets FTW, the ATP site is having a Glastonbury style meltdown.
Couldn't even load the ATP page.
Got through to Dash tickets (who?) and every time I select 2 ticket it says it takes me to a page telling me I have nothing in my cart.
In queue 341 on Roundhouse website.
2 tickets max so I should be OK. If that number is accurate. Which it probably isn't.
but my friend didn't manage to get his 2, so in the queue we go. 77th and counting ...
There's got to be a second date there, surely?
What's the capacity difference between Albert Hall and the Roundhouse?
Wonder how many people were there last time they played Manchester?
I remember the Saw very clearly.had never heard them before but bought the album from the merch table as soon as they'd fininished.
I was at that Sparklehorse gig, but I must have got there too late for NMH. I might not have even known who they were
I'm not complaining, much cheaper than London as well.
Have I done it right?
sometimes living in a smaller city in excellent
Trying to figure out if it's sold out or if the website is broken.
Just keep getting the 'you can add a maximum of 2 tickets' etc, even when trying to add one.
Got through on Roundhouse website and click 'book now' - get Bad Gateway error :/
Glasgow's on ticketweb and Manchester's on seetickets, why isn't London on either?
Neutral Milk Hotel
21 May 2014
Please select your ticket type and ticket quantity from the dropdown list(s) below.
Sorry: no tickets available for this performance
Do i have a chance?
This takes you to another page where sometimes it says they are available, sometimes it lets you select tickets. Then it tells you your cat is empty.
I pledged on Songkick for it but went underneath the amount, so I think I have until tonight to up my amount and I'm guaranteed a ticket? I'm going Manchester so if anyone wanted to pay me the amount and I will secure that ticket I can do that. Not sure how it works re is it an e-ticket and can people other than the Songkick user use the ticket?
I don't know, but I am happy to help if anyone needs it.
the info on their FAQ page. You have to email SongKick about it though. SongKick have a nice cool looking website but I much prefer WeGotTickets.
if I do get through and book another ticket for my friend with a different seller, e.g. Roundhouse or Dash, will ATP cross check with them about who purchased tickets and cancel all my orders because I bought more than 2 tickets?
Hope everyone else gets theirs!
Seated but I don't give a shit.
Dash alternates between the 'can only add 2 tickets!' message and logging me out.
so I lost all the details I'd put in and, by the time I had, they'd all gone.
Trying to get some for Manchester on Dash but I keep getting an error message every time I try put some in my basket...
This is somehow worse than Glastonbury because at least there i was just in a queue
I've picked up spares here and there from people giving theirs up
Does it work like that on there? Because getting to the booking stage doesn't save you a ticket like on Ticketmaster. I've done it before on Ticketmaster where they've either timed out or just given up but never on Seetickets. Had they saved your ticket, I'd probably have one now but they sold out before I finished putting in my details for the second time.
i mean seetickets do release random spares from time to time i guess
It might easily be one of the worst ticket sites I've ever used. It's not even just for NMH. None of the other gigs they have up are putting tickets in my basket..
but i still dunno if it's gonna invalidate the tickets I purchased through the pre sale!
Was gonna leave it as the Jeff Mangum show at Union Chapel was great and probably all I needed, but I clicked on the Roundhouse and there were tickets so I though fuck it and bought them.
worth checking The Roundhouse website every few days for tickets if you're desperate. I've noticed that they trickle release a few tickets for gigs that have originally sold out instantly.
Dash are a bunch of chumps though.
the broken ticket-selling system
When it does, you might get more joy calling the box office (0844 482 8008) than online.
Dash Tickets?? More like GASH tickets amiright!?
Decided to try and put one ticket in as i kept getting the error message and i managed to get it although it is seated. So it looks like I'm gonna be sat on my own but hey ho.
i mean its obvious jeff must REALLY need the money, but its a massive tour he's embarking on, hope the stress isn't too much.
Just bought 2 for the balcony
Got myself the standing ones for Albert Hall. Phew
to look forward to albeit ages away.
Saw this thread at the top, thought "fuck, I'll definitely have missed out on these by now," then got straight through on the Roundhouse website. Might be worth trying again if anyone's still after them.
always strikes me as weird when the (already pencilled in) extra dates fall on a 'better day' than the original ones. Not much in this one, but the closer to the weekend the better the show, right?
got mine though, super stoked.
Even for scalpers this is ridiculous.
But to be expected surely.
just got 2 for Manchester as well
Is that why they're using google wallet? Have I just made that stuff up about Paypal?
Bought tickets for one of the Netil House shows & that did PayPal, yet this was Google Wallet.
it's great! so fast
coincidentally, this week is their first show back, in Baltimore. i think a friend is going :(
for face value obviously. My friend managed to get together enough tickets for our whole group to go on the 22nd, so I probably don't need mine anymore.
You can buy all ticket types for second date from Roundhouse website with no problems right now. I got seated and would prefer standing, may buy some for the second date...
then just went on seetickets and got a standing one no problem.
but it's an E-ticket with HER name on it so only she can use it (which it apparently didn't tell her at any point during the purchase), and she doesn't even WANT to go.
I booked 2 e-tickets that are both under my name (1 for me, 1 for my mate.) Will my friend get in okay even though it's under my name??? Probably a stupid question but I haven't had the pleasure of going through this e-ticket crap before!
My dad managed to get an e-ticket for me while I was at work - again, with his name on it. What a headache.
anyone selling 2x london tickets either night would be greatly appreciated
starting threads about best simpsons episodes
Tempted to do both.
I'd rather go on the Saturday though. Hmmm.
I mean, it's miles off so it's not that big a deal, but seems a bit silly to put the work-night gig on sale first.
will probably give one to someone who can put me up, easier than sorting anything else out.
wish they would just announce all dates at the same time, give people the choice of dates
then they wouldn't have announced a 3rd date? Would you rather they announced 3 dates & then cancelled one later 'cos the demand wasn't there? Always goes over well when ATP cancel shows.
Sucks. Would much rather go out on a Friday than a Wednesday.
Tempted to buy more tickets and shift my other ones.
would prefer a Wednesday and Friday. I won't be going for the hat trick; a bit too much. The only band I've done that for were The New Pornographers in 2007.
Let the other dates out first so the sell out and then Friday and Saturday will trickle along to selling out.
One good thing is it fucks over touts.
this means as many people as possible get to see them...
as many people as possible would have been able to seen them if they'd been released at the same time. they could've even made it so you can only book two tickets for one of the events out of a selection if that was the reason they were doing it.
and yeah, as dots says, you have 7 months to plan! It will be pretty easy to swap around if necessary.
and asked to change my Thursday tickets to the Friday show. They said that they can do the swap easily on their system but the promoter (ATP) have given them strict instructions not to swap/exchange any tickets under any circumstances.
ATP must be pissing them off something rotten
A company running their operation half-competently would finish them off within three months.
Hate that they have a monopoly on the best gigs at the moment. Know you could say the gigs wouldn't happen without them, but look at the demand for NMH - someone would have put them on. And probably been relatively reasonable promoters. Goes for most of the shows ATP put on actually.
Another one is announced?cant really see what the problem is here.just means that everyone who would want to see that band has a chance. Or is this just another excuse to bitch about atp?get over it
Not sure what the problem is. Fairly standard pratice across the board
This is about as transparent as it gets. Why can't people switch tickets if it's all above board?
Dates on your ticket just because you'd prefer to go on a Friday or Saturday .wish I'd known this years ago
It's standard practice at venues like RFH, Roundhouse, Barbican etc that you can exchange or refund tickets (usually for a credit note). Don't know why it happens at more up market venues and not others.
The reason people are annoyed is because ATP have requested that The Roundhouse don't operate their standard policy.
People who are travelling a distance to the gig deserve to be able to go the most convenient night for them, assuming there is availability (which there is).
Look at the prices for the other gigs on the tour, London people are paying a premium for the venue but being denied the services that usually come with it.
some venues will be willing to exchange things in house, but when you have ticket allocation companies and promoters selling tickets for the same event, they need to keep their balances correct and will have stated in the T&C's that there is no exchanges or refunds because it's standard policy and they can get away with it.
I don't necessarily like it either but ATP are not doing anything wrong or worse than anyone else [/box office employee post]
Are they deliberately trolling ...
QUICK QUICK, book Wednesday tickets and a train!
oh, or Friday ...
Friday you say? - well that would have been just lovely but I didn't know did I, you non-transparent, money-grabbing toss-pieces.
The Prince Lovesexy tour got announced.i was so excited that I begged my dad to take me.being a good dad he made sure that he took the morning off work to try and get tickets .9.05 it had sold out and I was gutted and without tickets.9.06 another day got added and we got front row seats.new dates are good.still in the best 3 gigs of my life
Nothing like a bit of indie bedwetting to celebrate your 1st wedding anniversary...
with a while to go as well. Would be fucking fuming.
would want at least £100 if I was selling it on.
Before I bought them I looked at eBay. About twenty or so being touted for horrible prices, yet they're still on sale.
I managed to get balcony tickets for the Sunday Manchester show, but Saturday's way better for me so I got tickets for that instead when they went on sale.
Now I want to sell my Sunday tickets (for face value). How do I go about selling an e-ticket for 2 people that's in my name, when it says you need to show ID on the door to use it?
I don't have internet in my new house yet so it involved walking all the way to my old house with my laptop, realising I'd forgotten my wallet with my cards in it, having to go back for it and then missing the delivery of oil I was supposed to stay in the new house to wait for.
but I would have presumed any house with an oil tank would require a delivery, unless English homes come with a drilling mechanism in the yard.
You should try it
can't believe that it still hasn't sold out yet. Was sure that Jeff solo at the same venue sold really fast before.
I don't understand that given the palava getting tickets on Monday.
Want to buy standing tickets for Friday and sell my seated Wednesday ones but may be I won't be able to.
