Or just me? Probably just me.
It's good but it's no Blood on the Tracks or Blond on Blonde.
Really no weak songs to speak of, and 3 or 4 classics. Would probably put it in his Top 5.
Depends what mood I'm in as to whether I would say best. Really enjoying this new bootleg series too.
Out of 90+ albums & bootlegs I've got on CD...
dunno bout best tho
With blood on the tracks as always leading the way. It's just another testament to how good he is that an album of that quality would maybe just make it into his top 5 records!
I am adoring Nashville skyline right now!
but probably better than everything that came after (including Blood On The Tracks). It's really good yeah.
People tend to only focus on Dylan between 1963 and 1966 and chuck in Blood on the Tracks and Desire for good measure.
JWH and a lot of the stuff around it, as well as his flawless output between 1997 and 2006, is quite brilliant too.
Blonde on Blonde's just too damn long, and there's one or two tracks on Blood on the Tracks that really don't do it for me melodically.
#1 spot still goes to Hwy 61. Always will.
