I'm going. Been listening to Built to Spill for years. I rarely go to gigs nowadays as I pretty much dislike the general public but could not pass this gig up.
Just look at the setlist from last night when they played Antwerp, Belgium:
Last few songs in a fucking row!
Carry the Zero
(Don't Fear) The Reaper
It's a Built to Spill fan's wet dream.
Playing songs from right through their career.
Opening with Three Years Ago Today!
And In The Morning! I will die happy if I hear that!
They were in Brisbane when i was there in 2007. It was their first ever Oz tour so decided to give each album equal billing. Sweet fucking christ it was the best time, absolutely every one of their best songs.
Man I got hammered at that show.
Telling the sound guy to turn it up and shouting "Randy Described Eternity" a lot.
Doors open: 7:30pm
Disco Doom: 8:15pm
Built To Spill: 9:30pm

Think of me if they do.
Also, playing a real mix of odd covers - How soon is now?! Amazing.
and can be at the venue by half 7/8, then drop me a PM/comment. Completely forgot that I'd pledged for two tickets for everything on Songkick Detour in a desperate attempt to make them coming more likely, left it a little late to do anything else with it.
Thank you for your service. Holy shit, I never realised that Songkick Detour was a thing.
<pledges 1500 tickets for Paw to play London>
that was absolutely brilliant.
that was awesome.
just been going through that set list, few songs i don't recognise. Perfect from Now On, Keep It Like a Secret and There's Nothing Wrong with Love are the three i've had and loved since I was like 16 but never got there others... any others I'm seriously missing out on?
but I do like most of You in Reverse and There Is No Enemy and the song 'The Weather' from Ancient Melodies of the Future is a corker.
It was a fantastic gig.
Almost wish I could drop everything and go over to Amsterdam to see them tomorrow.
Saw them play Car on their last tour, and was stoked they played Else last night.
But in all the times I've seen them I've never seen them play The Weather. It does appear in setlists from time to time. Amazing song.
But doesn't match those three. Same for Ultimate Alternative Wavers, but the production on that is pretty thin. Haven't heard Ancient Melodies of the Future or There Is No Enemy, bound to be a few crackers on them though.
It was incredible.
Remember thinking that they must be ending the set with it - it was that good - but they played a bunch of songs after.
How soon is now was a brilliant choice too. Let's get on Songkick again! Can't wait another five years to see them.
Massive tune. Love it.
Overall I walked away thinking the whole show was merely "good". I think it was ruined a bit for me by the plethora of chatty twats surrounding me. Everywhere I moved to, there seemed to be more. Any everyone was REALLY tall and muffled the sound around me.
That said BTS were bloody great, just a shame the experience was ruined a bit by idiots and genetics.
I left before they came out for the encore as I had a train to catch, so a little gutted I missed the covers.
