good list that
She's got loads of personality
It's really sexual, really sexy, but not at all in a way that cheapens her. Listening to it is a bit like living on the tip of a clitoris.'
Shameless attempt to get more page views and skew stats.
Anyway, seems a decent enough list.
thequietus always does it, load of bullshit
then some sniffer says "WHAT LOL MAGAZINES HAVE LOTS OF PAGES YOU IDIOT WHY DONT U COMPLAIN ABOUT THEM DUUUHHHHH" then the editor of the site offers to buy said sniffer a drink.
really cant get on with that site
I often want to look through festival photos but then realise I have to click through 45 pages to see them. :(

That 'Tissues & Issues' album may as well have been entitled 'Tampons & Crampons'"
good egg she is
"I love this sort of thing, Pavement, The Weakerthans, Built To Spill, Slint, Shudder To Think, all of that, but this album has an odd sort of warmth and melancholy that I sometimes find its contemporaries lack."
I love the idea of Charlotte Church listening to Slint. She has good taste.
to the Pope
and played Bon Iver
and interviewed Katie Price for their Channel 4 chat show
Which isn't anywhere near as good as it sounds.
we should stop having such BIG OPINIONS about celebrities, tbh, especially young ones.
really good, thanks Charlotte Church!
"I saw them in Coachella and they played this hard utilitarian set that was just mindblowing. I just lost my shit. I got hysterical. I was in floods of tears. And like I say, I'm not a crier, so I was like, "Christ this is a bit embarrassing!" And then I fell asleep for five minutes, because it got way too much for me. And then I woke up to 'Myxomatosis'. It was really strange."
as long as she wasn't given a hipster crib sheet beforehand by her PR company....
Then I took a step back and thought
Hmmm. Young musician with decent taste in music. Not unlikely. Sure, some of those picks are left field and obscure, but I was listening to decent stuff at her age too. Maybe my inner cynic is being steered by a new artistic approach that needs to be validated by posting a favourite albums list on a critically acclaimed music site. "Charlotte Church, former world-conquering child soprano turned alt-rock auteur, picks 13 albums that may entirely change your view of her..." did make my PR meter ping wildly; especially when you look at the volume of coverage they give her. But what did everyone think she sat at home and listened to? The Lighthouse Family and Aled Jones?
Laid them all out on a table and took a picture of them for Twitter about a year ago. There was a thread about it at the time I seem to recall, but I can't be arsed finding it.
in the Quietus reader/200 capacity venue world, after all.
I think it was them
What advantage to her would there be in pretending to like these records?
I like her
that was the moment I went 'yep'
Just for choosing the first Hold Steady album and Spirit of Eden.
has anyone seen the original video for Glitterbombed?
Not the one that was actually released. You'd know if you'd seen it. Best music video ever made.
well, it starts with her getting sucked through a computer screen and into a horse's bumhole, and just gets weirder from there.
