“There is a definite Mod revival in the air this year and if any band has captured that original sixties vibe to perfection, it has to be Sisteray” – Surroundedby.co.uk
Take it Away/Happy Endings is the debut single (Double A-Side) from London’s number one emerging Rock ‘N’ Roll band, Sisteray. This is the bands best work to date, the quality of the songs across this stunning two tracker underline the young bands potential as one of the most talented, energetic acts on the UK's vibrant indie scene. The band has been described recently as "a definite crowd pleaser" and a band that "brings together all the sounds of the greatest Rock ‘N’ Roll bands to the table with their own style and attitude". This upbeat; loud future-Mod anthem is well anticipated by the fans.
“There’s a good Blues feel to (Take it Away)” – Gary Crowley, BBC London 94.9
Over the past year the hard working act from London has been catching the attention and imagination of music lovers up and down the UK. Capturing audiences with their enchanting live shows, filled with pure Rock ‘N’ Roll original hits, Sisteray certainly wear their influences on their sleeves. ‘Take it Away’ and‘Happy Endings’ are no different. You can hear hints of The Who, The Kinks and Primal Scream brought in to 2013 with crashing drums, distinctive and instantly recognisable vocals, great guitar riffs and toe-tapping bass hooks. Sisteray have great belief in what they do and their presence and attitude speaks volumes.
As described by Surroundedby.com ‘Take it Away’ grabs you with its “thunderously unrelenting riff has gloriously raw guitar that you almost you almost feel you should hear the faint crackle of the needle against vintage vinyl in the background”.
‘Happy Endings’ has been describes as “another foot tapper with snappy chorus and sparkling lyrics”.
“Take It Away is centred around a raw and bold guitar riff that gives this tune a toe tapping edge. Happy Endings emits a mod feel, there’s streaks of the Jam here” – WhatCulture!
‘Take it Away’ has featured on Gary Crowley’s BBC London 94.9 radio show and has also been included on his Amazing Radio playlist.
