what a bloke
I thought they sounded bloody brilliant, especialy 'Song For Five & Six' which has been doing the rounds on youtube for a little while now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aI6Je5vHUQs
which was so so good after sending the band off and taking requests. He said Heartland sold really bad in the UK, I'm surprised, I thought that was his breakthrough! I remember buying it back when it came out in my 1st year of university.
and yeah, I'm really excited for the new album. January I think he said.
He was still absolutely brilliant though.
and i remember when i bought it, the guy at the record shop commenting on how badly it had sold, compared to what him and the distributers were expecting.
little bit in love with him
I always say 'I wish I 'd been there' but this time it's I really, really, really wish I'd been there.
dehydrated through the whole thing. Was just slumping around at the side. Silly staff 'do' beforehand.
got told off for filming but no one said i should stop! will be uploading shortly.
was a great gig. he's such a top bloke. also buke and gase were really great too. any one catch them?
Yep, whole London gig was outstanding. One of those that reminds those of us whoever held any kind of musical ambition why we never made it. Cerebral is one word I would use, but not at all in anything but a really, really good way.
Pallett is a weird one; usually being female hinders how seriously an artist is taken, but in Pallett's case I think his weird uncategorisability as a male artist is why he's, well, playing garages in Shoreditch rather than RFH or the Albert Hall.
no justice that he's playing venues like that still when he should be at places like the barbican or queen elizabeth. i think he was at bush hall but they moved it as village underground is bigger... maybe people just see him as an extension of arcade fire and nothing more?
he has played the barbican
maybe its cos of poor record sales and not enough interest he plays small venues. not enough demand?
