Meant to start this this morning tbh.
It's Seventh Tree by Goldfrapp really, isn't it.
I don't know how people find it anything but introspective, far too nostalgic, and almost crushing. It's pretty romantic sounding, but I never feel happier or anything after listening to it.
And I'm not sure if that frustrates me or makes me love it even more.
Primarily of course because the sound...but I also feel the nostalgia doesn't overwhelm me, purely because Dan sounds more cut up than I could ever be in parts. So in comparison, it makes me feel a bit lucky.
Couldn't listen to Archer on the Beach and, particularly, Grief Point though. A shade too melancholy
Although I'm really not sure why
or Can't Buy a Thrill...or both :)
or something by Mulatu Astatke.
had a proper moment today listening. totally sublime
Beck - Sea Change
Blur - Modern Life Is Rubbish
Can't think of a specicific album , though
People They Ain't No Good even mentions reading the Sunday newspapers
Talk Talk - take your pick from Colour of Spring / Spirit of Eden / Laughing Stock
Very gentle. Perfect hangover music, too.
The Patience Song especially
The ideal Sunday morning album.
