Stagediving and crowdsurfing
Just stop it, right?
There's literally no need for it. Ever. At all. It's not punk. It's just you being a 'look at me! look at me!' arse. If you want to go nuts; go slamdance at a hardcore show, tough guy.
(Some stagediver came cruising over me tonight at a Thee Oh Sees show and I pointedly refused to support her so she crashed to the ground and then gave me an evil look. Totally deserved it, in my opinion)
You consciously refused to support her, and you were pleased when she fell?
That's not right
It was the third time that night she decided to jump off the stage
as far as I'm concerned, a broken coccyx is the very least she deserves for that level of bumhattery.
TOUGH GUY
its fine
lemonprickcombo
Agreed
Are you in the band currently performing? No? Then get off me.
You sound like a real boring fuck
So long as they're not going to extra lengths to try and kick you in the face, just support them and they'll move somewhere else. Maybe you should try standing at the back instead?
Don't get me wrong, I like being at the front and having a dance, jumping around
But I see no reason why I should continually have some fuckatrd jumping on my neck and kicking me in the face. Just have some respect for others, innit. That's all. And yeah, petulant actions tonight but I'd just had enough after being smashed round by the morons so much.
Great tagging as ever
incorrect semicolon use as well
DICK'ED
eh
it's fine though. except for big units, some huge lad kept getting up and falling off onto the front row last time i saw title fight. that's a pretty unpleasant thing to do.
I'd rather people stagedive and crowdsurf than mosh / dance inappropriately

still looks like a deliberate wrestling takedown
for shame
Once at a featival some guy kept trying to get me to crowd surf and asking if I wanted on his shoulders
Quite strange that people do these things. Probably people on poppers.
I do h8 it mostly
mind ye I have been to a Municipal Waste gig where everyone was throwing everyone else up over and over and people were doing it with boogie boards and wearing fake beards and everyone was happy & it was fucking brilliant
^this totally depends on the gig
at pop punk gigs or municipal waste etc where the crowds are mainly young, sprightly and foolhardy crowd surfing is going to happen and if i don't want to get involved i tend to stay back.
Bit aware that this is the same argument used by those who justify kicking people in the face at hardcore shows, so yeah actually fuck it, shouldn't be allowed unless absolutely everyone does it
oh the stupid kungfukicky things can get to feck
anything that you have to put that much thought and effort into in response to the music, just nerr
this MW gig was a full on lovefest (all ages!) and people were dancing while actually respecting the people around them. I know most of the time it isn't like that
same when i saw them
i think we should just all agree municipal waste are a funny band who are fun
no big deal.
i'd take a bruise or two over standing stock still with a crowd of chin-strokers any day. the most exhilirating gigs i've been to have been the ones where people just lose it. used to happen a lot more before mobile phones and instagram. doesn't happen often enough, unfortunately. also, deliberately letting the girl fall was pretty lame.
Not really for me so I stand well clear of it
but if it's what other people want they can go for it. Rarely go to gigs where it's an issue any more.
bet you would have crowdsurfed if someone had hoisted you up during Juneau
or Silver or something :D
I've done it twice, at pop-punk shows when I was 16-17. It was fun. I tried not to kick anyone. I don't feel any need to do it again.
I was at a gig once
and someone came crowdsurfing over me, putting a boot into my head. I left the gig with blood streaming down my face.
I hate stand-offish crowds that don't applaud and dance too. But the suggestion that if we don't like crowdsurfers then we must like audience apathy is ridiculous.
yeah fair cop.
it's a bit trolling101.
