long tho, so i'll summarise:
joined nirvana after bleach was recorded, paid off the studio bill
toured with nirvana on guitar but fell out with them because he was moody
joined soundgarden on bass, toured with them a year, fell out because he was moody
saw the other bands get successful and joined the army, got into special forces
left army, studied philosophy at columbia, graduated
