I'm considering going, but £170?!
A tad on the pricey side, considering the acts..
and said it made Latitude look like Download
but the location looks amazing, perfect for a festival.
Organisation was pretty terrible and everything was super expensive but I got in for free so it was bearable. To be honest I wouldn't bother unless you are desperate to see the bands that are playing. Yes, the location is amazing but if the weather turns (as it did on the final day) that is pretty much cancelled out. It's just a bit too focused on being "boutique" rather than on being a good hangout for music fans I think.
Patrick McGoohan turning in his grave
it is lovely, but £170 is way way too much and anyone paying that has something wrong with them. once you get in everything is pricey too. i would def go back though, as long as i wasn't paying £450+ (ticket + travel + food + drink could easily come to around £500). I mean, that's only £30 less than Glastonbury. No excuse.
Spectacular location, but yes weather likely to be an issue. A bit disorganised and muddy if the weather turns, very boutique-y rather than for die-hard music fans. And a loooong drive if you're coming from the south east eg London. My highlight of the festival = getting a lift down the road from Bez :)
Nb if music's your main priority, get a ticket for the next Primavera instead; it's great and a complete bargain for the amount of bands playing, though you have to deal with the cost of flights and accommodation of course.
because everyone was there last year on comps
was brilliant last year, and I think it has the potential to turn into one of the best festivals. It should be £30 less per ticket though sadly, and the way they charged extra for the unavoidable bus last year was pretty unfair.
I definitely fancy it.
I went to portmeirion a few years ago and remember thinking this would be an amazing festival location, later that year I saw the line up for the first one and it made me angry
What does everyone think of this now My Bloody Valentine have been added then eh?
but if i don't then i'll go
Not sure I'd like it, but her indoors would love it. I ain't paying though. Thank you.
it was amazing. i've been to a lot of festivals and it is easily the best site i've ever been to. that is a bit of a price hike from last year but it's probably worth it. there's so much going on, it must be expensive to run.
Manics, MBV, chic, Blake, Daughter.. what else is worth seeing and doing?
has there been a newer thread? apologies if so!
not going now but that should be great in the surroundings
