Lots of good tracks, but never enough on one album.
Though having said that Push the Sky Away may have achieved that at last
You've never listened to Let Love In, Henry's Dream, Tender Prey or The Boatman's Call?
though I don't think that's accurate... I DO LOVE THEIR SINGLES
Or volume 4? The rest I can understand
Could put together a 10-12 track Best Of of any of those bands which would stand up against anything in the hitory of recorded music, but there are bits of all of their albums which i don't like, in some cases several tracks per record.
Fantastic singles, patchy albums.
Were it not for One life stand being utterly perfect.
I tend to agree with the opening post. All 3 albums contain great material but none are complete records. Their best whole record is 45:33 for me but not sure if it counts as an album...?
He's the best at suddenly making me realise songs I've always kind of liked are actually COMPLETELY AMAZING despite having none of his (proper) albums. Case in point hearing Heroes on the radio and being blown away by it for the first time having heard it hundreds of times before.
I love so many of their tracks but none of their albums are consistently amazing.
