I assume this will be an acoustic show? Still, pretty small venue for him.
£50 a ticket though, so i'm out.
or doing some 'conceptual' bullshit like that pointless Bowie thing the other month.
"Beck will be performing acoustic shows at Cambridge Corn Exchange on July 6th, and at London’s Union Chapel on July 7th."
it's £39.50 per ticket, but yeah, probably up around £50 once you add their fees.
Hope I can get some.
Either way, for an acoustic show that's too much. *Especially* if it's just him on his own (I don't know if it is).
but I guess that's the premium you have to pay to see a "megastar" in such an intimate setting. I'm up for it, think it'll be special and worth the extra cost.
The acoustic thing wouldn't bother me. My fav album is Mutations so I'm guessing it would have a fair portion of that on it.
Down tempo and features acoustic guitars, however what I like most about Mutations has a lot to do with the full arrangements, not just the songs.
In a stripped down set up.
I'm going on the basis that if this is half as good as the royal albert hall acoustic show in 2003, it'll be money well spent. I doubt there will be a hot in herre cover this time round though :-(
Isn't it just Nitemare Hippy Girl & Pay No Mind as part of a requests medley? Whiskeyclone would be ace.
Where he played completely on his own ... that's still possibly my favourite gig of all time.
There's videos of him playing at the Union Chapel for a BBC special on youtube if anyone wanted to watch.
When is it on sale? I go to so few gigs these days that I could probably justify £50.
It's based on that gig that I don't think that this will be worth £50
the santa cruz show ?
"The Royal Albert Hall show about ten years ago"
Last train home on a Sunday is 11 o'clock...
£35 is more reasonable
46 quid each after fees and whathaveyou. Remembered to untick the cancellation protection fee this time as well, thankfully.
