PRAISE BE TO THE MOST FLY, PRADA
really excited to hear how that all works.
Got me a ticket for it this morning
I'm going to say yes, I will aim to get a ticket for that.
Proper excited about the new album. I missed them!
Today is now officially No Age day. Listening to Nouns, what a record.
They've been Tweeting about recording for months, I was just waiting for an announcement. Hopefully this means a European tour!
anyone off to the London show at Corsica Studios in June?
Had missed that totally. Will be seeing them at ATP too.
but for some bizarre reason its tickets on the door only. None in advance?? WTF??
might get down there early, grab a ticket then find something to eat
but the last album really just didn't do anything for me. Not sure what it was, but it just felt very faceless.
that track's a game-changer
...is pay on the door only. I'm going to hold out til the Koko show in October.
Tickets on sale now!
and it's been in my head all week
and the other track for that matter. Hyped for this record.
you can read it here if ya like;
It was a fun interview. The new album is pretty glorious.
they've been gotten consistently less interesting with each release after Nouns.
The ambient sections actually feel worthwhile and interesting rather than crowbarred in, plus the riffs sound weirder but more ear-catching, somehow.
so it's infinitely better.
Is a fantastic song. Joyful yet melancholic, brilliant. Like the whole album, Neon Junkyard especially...
I won't hear a bad word against it!
(My own opinion of course)
Anyway! Really looking forward to the new No Age album. Anything mentioning contact mics and coins I'll be excited about!
Is the reason that people aren't so enamoured of it because it sounds a little like the sort of song & production the Strokes should still be doing?
not in a bad way
Impressed without being blown away. Think I'm going to have a No Age binge this evening. Though ATM it's Nouns> Everything In Between> An Object > Wierdo Rippers.
Subject to change
pretty much sums it up for me too.
some really good songs on it. but doesn't come close to everything in between's greatness
I think it's a grower.
It's live from the Everything In Between tour.
I rememeber them being ferocious on that tour. Their show at Audio, Brighton remains one of the loudest gigs I've ever been to
really feeling it straight away. I like how subdued and unrocking it is. really unorthodox. good lying in bed feeling weak and asthmatic music.
It may be less upfront compared to their punkier stuff, but it works really well and is kind of an expansion to those more ambient sections from their previous albums. Love the lo-fi production too!
