(Tower of Strength era)
Still really rate the debut highly, mind.
Going shit after their second album.
Interpol never wrote a chorus as good as Bricks & Mortar.
actually sounds quite nice
Nothing special, just a decent slice of early U2/Bunnymen post punk.
That was bloody awful? This obviously is also bloody awful.
as this is massively indebted to 'The Cutter' to my ears, especially that 'eastern' guitar riff. The man sings "Desire" 4 times and everyone says "Ah, U2.." No, not at all. But Bunnymen, yes. Dunno how they thought we wouldn't notice. Risky move from a band already mocked tirelessly for other 'inspirations'. Been a fan since the early days though and I still think the album will be strong.
I think the 3rd album was great and their best so far, and I was under the impression they were continuing with that direction.
This isn't doing much for me at all.
Totally Bunnymen! I quite like it....but then i like The Bunnymen. Funnily enough, i remember them saying they were really into Heaven Up Here a few years ago. I suppose things take a few years to filter through haha
You don't see one of those every day.
that really is similar to Echo and the Bunnymen isn't it? I think I enjoyed it though.. Weird.
