is to stare balefully at the cover and decide on whether her head is a tambourine or a slice of potato.
Your decision is immensely important and has significance over how you approach putting on the CD (NOT the vinyl, that's definitely not for ITAOTS beginners. Early exposure to ITAOTS on vinyl could have disastrous consequences on your musical development akin to pre-teen weight lifting).
then make your way up until when the woodwinds come into 'The Penny Arcade In California'. Make sure you stop there and then start from the beginning of 'In the Aeroplane Over the Sea' and keep going until the opening guitar strums of 'Two-Headed Boy'. For the love of god though, don't listen to that song all the way through. Actually, probably don't even listen to the vocals, you're not ready for them yet. Actually you should probably just give the whole album a miss, you might not like it, and do you really want to risk that? Maybe just stay home today and cancel all your plans too while you're at it.
The track (as in trail) that leads to another album.

I'd say start about halfway through 'Ghost'

It's not that good, get 'Sigh No More' by Mumford & Sons instead.
I'd follow the Do-Re-Mi rule
Never let it be said the Sound of Music was a complete wast of time.
