I have no words.
She chats about it her: http://www.factmag.com/pt/2010/03/29/ikonika-into-the-fire/2/ Phonelines VIP was a tribute to a Glassjaw track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSadrfux5yU he read that and wanted to work with her so I knew he had some kinda electronic leaning in him, but yeah that clip is shite.
Need to hear it!
This is shite. WTF DARYL WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME.
It started off okay, not bad for a dance/pop track but it sounds unfinished, and it draaaaags.
Living On My Own. I hope this wasn't at the expense of some new Glassjaw tracks.
I kinda like it
I mean, it sounds like someone playing around with some new software for the first time and wanting to sound like Disclosure, but the start is pretty catchy.
oh what i'd do for a gj album/to FINALLY see them live...
It reminds me of this De La Soul classic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbYWBRPheXA
but I can quite place it right now. Its some kinda old electro kinda classic.
where they played loads of new stuff off the unreleased album (Swan Damage?). i told him it would be nice to actually hear the recorded songs and he said, they'd be out in 6 months. 8 months later and it seems to be the same old story with another Daryl project - a load of half finished stuff with one band dropped for something else, elsewhere
Geometry - Hard To Breath: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxt77MpThwQ
No Way Out from Roadrunner United: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gJq5YMA23I
But the fact that they've released as many records as Glassjaw is frankly disgraceful.
and then Finch, obviously.
but Beating Hearts Baby is still the worst song ever created
Now there's a popular opinion for you
beating heart baby is awesome
I prefer most of the other songs on Decadence over BHB, but saying it's one of the worst songs ever created is just wrong.
I don't think I've come across anything that irritates me as much as Beating Hearts Baby.
Can't really put my finger on it. Just the way my brain's wired.
