THERE'S A GIRL AND A... GUITAAARRRR
http://www.songkick.com/tickets/11093609? doesnt seem to work
the very weekend I'll be moving to London, as well. Incredible.
Who else is going?
Massively excited for this.
but I won't really be satisfied until I've got Great Cop supporting.
Plus cat_race isn't here anymore to tell me that A Dozen Roses isn't the greatest song of all time.
So I have 2x tickets for sale at face value for London, get in touch if you want!
Playing THE FUCKING PEEL the night after the London show. Why? Then again I could go to both. But it seems fucking pointless. Must have something to do with Banquet I guess.
which is a gay club not normally known for these shows
I don't have any 90s emo friends.
Will probably be in Spoons in between shows... (Kyle_?)
I'll probably be going Football Etc are ace.
but I may potentially have to wait in for something to be delivered on Saturday afternoon, which is a bit of a bummer.
But yeah everyone should say hello to each other on the day/night ha.
yeah definitely, will say hi!
Worth catching Plaids as well - they're excellent http://plaids.bandcamp.com
Love a Wetherspoons me.
Both support bands for Braid are/sound great as well. Plenty of time for a gourmet hot dog in between though.
PM me a number/details if anyone wants to meet for a pre gig pint. might be working till half 5 but will get to the area for a bit after 6
and you OS.
If anyone needs one/know anyone that needs one, drop me a PM.
Face value, of course.
Excitedly bought two tickets and then forget to badger anyone into coming with me
It'd be rude not to...
Why did I think I knew anyone who liked Braid?
Pretty sure, in retrospect, that I don't know anyone who likes TITR.
I think I'm going to the Football Etc show and The Peel the next day.
I'd be up for DiS meats too both of the gourmet hotdog variety and the usual non snack based kind.
with the thinly veiled (but she's not coming to Braid) so I'd be up for meeting some DiSers then I've got to find Alcxxk who's gonna fix me up with the good stuff (ie. my Briad ticket).
What's the plan/protocol? Approach any pasty people with fringes and cardigans? I'll be the pasty one with a fringe (prob too hot for the cardigan).
Pretty much none of us know each other so it'll just be awkward introductions all round!
as I won't recognise anyone either.
if they checked name on your tickets at all against ID. Buying one off a mate of a mate, and dunno if its too late to change names.
And asked how many 'plusses'/other people you have.
£20 for the pair, PM me if you want them.
i got shitfaced. maybe too shitfaced...
but defo met lots of DiSers! not sure who tho...
Had a great time, the Football etc show was cool, Crash of Rhinos were awesome and really enjoyed Braid despite the sauna levels of sweat the heat was producing. Nice.
Really good to meet a few DiSers (wiggy, wolves, alcxxk, badman, oceanstorm plus others who's user names if not sure of) all great people, hopefully catch you all again soon.
Got utterly fucked on Friday night and was in no condition to either drink or meet new people yesterday. Arrived 5 minutes before Braid started and left as soon as Frame and Canvas was done, was dying on my feet.
I've heard Killing A Camera live :)))
Great to meet everyone yesterday. What a great day/night. Not sure I've ever experienced my shins sweating before, that was a new one. Please Drive Faster though! And A Dozen Roses was probably the greatest thing that's ever happened to me. Apologies for being a bit loud in the pub afterwards...
I've been offered guestlist for tonight's show but can't make. Sure it'll be just as much fun.
Maybe catch everyone at the Plaids show at Power Lunches? Definitely up for seeing them again.
I'll send you the Facebook event!
even if I was dripping copious amounts sweat for most of it, pretty much every single band was great at the Matinee was great, with special mentions going to Plaids, Wrestling, the crowd surfers in the last song Football etc and Doe's awkward between song banter.
Crash of Rhinos and Braid were both incredible, and it was really good to meet everyone too, I'll have to see if I can stay out for a bit longer next time.
Think the top floor was pretty much completely taken over by people from the two shows. So proud.
Great persuasive work from Howlett there.
the Football Etc matinee show was really good, it was loads of fun to meet everyone, and then I got to see a band I never thought I'd get to see, supported by one of the best bands in the country right now. Pretty much perfect.
can't imagine how it could have been better
I was worried they were going to be a bit shit, but thankfully I was very wrong. I would have preferred more old songs but what can you do.
I managed to miss the beginning.
