new YOUTH LAGOON album
got it a week ago but only had time for a couple listens. not quite sure if its a 7/10 or a 9/10 yet. there are some beautiful hooks and melodies but its quite samey. a bit of a departure from the last album, more like Dr Dog or Ruby Suns.
what does people think?

Wishy-washy and drab. Don't know why I listened to it though really.
yeah, bit disappointed on first listen
Dropla and Mute are still great and there were plenty of nice moments, but quite a lot of them are overblown and just too long for their own good. Not gonna make any snap judgements though, cos I hated Hibernation when it first came out and now I think it's one of the best things from that year
