The Heatshakes tapes volume 1 is going to be a lo-fi acoustic tribute tape to Kurt Cobain, with various artists covering Nirvana songs but with a slight twist as it has to follow the rules of heatshakes tape

The Rules of Heatshakes tape

1.one take.(mistakes or no mistakes)
2.no Double tracking. (vocals and instruments must be recorded on same track at the same)
3.no post production (you can do whatever you like pre-recording in terms of setting up the track, but you can't touch the file after its recorded)

All the songs will be gathered into one long MP3 file and put onto soundcloud which will be available as a free download.

we are still looking for more artists to fill out the "tape"

Songs claimed so far include, Polly,Pennyroyal Tea,You Know You're Right.

The compilation will go live on 5th April to mark 19 years since Kurt Cobain's death.
