It's just a bit weird and unsettling

She looks a bit grubby, like when Adam Lazarra decided he was Kurt Cobain for a bit.

It's just not a particularly listenable/good song. Her Welsh accent really comes through which isn't great either.

Incidentally, there's also a new Kate Nash album out this week, which is a bit 'riot grrl' apparently. Hmm.

The Kate Nash album

is genuinely unlistenable in places. It's as though she has mistaken 'riot girl' for bawling like she's trapped her hand in a door.

The first minute of this is good.

Way better than I was expecting. Unfortunately it changes for the worse thereafter. The dynamics and some of the guitar work reminded me of Talk Talk a bit, but nowhere near as expert in the buliding/release of tension. Not a bad effort overall though.
