Anyone going to see Status Quo on their UK tour this month?
I've got a ticket for one of the Hammersmith shows.
It's the first (and last) time in 30 years the original line-up has toured together.

Yes
And by yes, I mean no.
Seriously though...
...I thought they usually toured just before christmas?
They do seem to do an annual pre-Christmas tour (and did again last year),
but that's busually just Rossi and Parfitt with a load of unknown session musicians. This is a slight different thing as it has the 'classic' line-up from the 70s.
LOL
I'd be very tempted by this if they played Nottingham
Quo are incredible.
I only looked at London dates, but I know it's part of a full UK tour.
Yeah just got a ticket for my grandad
he's well psyched about them.
Fun live band
Wouldn't pay money to see them though.
Yeah I agree
Lets spend our money going to see a boring shit band instead
Don't think Radiohead are touring, pal
One of my best mates is having the first night of his stag at the Quo
I told him I'd meet them at the karting track the day after. Fuck that shit.
That sounds like the worst stag do of all time.
Throw in a Mark Knopfler gig after the karting and it's comfortably the worst weekend of all time.
I la la la like it, here we gooooooo-oooh!
I'd rather shit a hedgehog whilst having pins inserted in both eyes and my testicles being slowly splatted in a vice than go karting and watch Quo. Don't forget your waistcoat.
It
It gets worse
We're out on the night in CORBY.
What a waste of a stag. I've told my lot for my stag we're going to Primavera. No excuses.
I might have gone to Hammersmith
but there's only tickets for Wembley left. Pretty excited about their film this summer:

what in holy hell is that film?
I'd rather eat my own s**t :D
'Down, Down' is an amazing track
like 200mph, balls out rock!
An admission which makes me feel quite stupid:
At Springsteen’s Hard Rock Calling gig in Hyde Park last summer, I was watching John Fogerty, very excited about the prospect in fact, as I’ve loved Creedence for years but never seen him live, when Bruce (not unexpectedly, as they’re good buddies) joined him on stage for a song. They then started into Rockin’ All Over the World, and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why these two musical greats were covering a Status Quo song?? It was only afterwards that I figured out that Fogerty had actually written it. I felt like quite an idiot.
you mean the line up that did this?:-

don't listen to the haters. genuine class!
there's so much about that that is brilliant
its no accident
that they had top 20 hits in 5 successive decades
thanks to this thread,
i'm listening to the quo now. great stuff.
