Just bought my ticket for this gig. Never got round to seeing them originally and I had pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I never would. This is great news.
some posts have disappeared from this thread. One of mine where I went so far as to mention the ex-drummer and praise him, but say that I was excited for this nonetheless. is Chris Olley making modreqs now? :P
No, the guy who posted it requested it deleted because it was misinformation. I have no idea why it was an issue but there you go. Didn't seem a big deal.
My favourite (non musical) moment was the remergence of Chris Olley at the point where an encore would be; the crowd roars; Chris picks up his coat off the amp, gives a triumphant arm in the air to the crowd and walks off again.
"The CD and vinyl is now sold out and I have decided not to do a repress but instead to make the album a completely free download at higher than CD quality for everyone.
All I ask in return is that you tell your friends and spread the word. You will be able to download the album by clicking on the picture above and you will also be able to spread it via twitter and facebook and embed it and send it as a gift from the download website.
I've decided that a) Standing In The Light is the keeper off this album and b) the completely, completely forgotten & neglected previous comeback album If Symptoms Persist, Kill Your Doctor was much better overall and is in dire need of a reevaluation
so the death of six by seven didnt last long then.
lol
everything is a circle, young jordan
Saw these guys supporting Placebo at Brixton Academy years ago.
Yesssss

yeah thats weird. it seems your posts about the drummer have met a bitter end.

Okay, so it turns out I've double-booked - this is the same night as Jandek at Cafe Oto.
So if anyone wants two Six By Seven tickets for £15 (I paid £22) then PM me. I can send you the pdf tickets straight away.
Gutted to miss it.
The tickets have now gone - many thanks to the lucky winner...
fuck
hope they fucking choke on chris olley's silly sailor cap
Sent you a PM
My Brother and I (Goodsoul Promotions) are putting on this gig
We're looking to book some more Six By Seven dates in the future, as long as the first one goes well!
Gonna try and arrange something with Chris Olley in his electronic guise of Twelve too.
So how was this then?
How were they sounding? What kind of set did they play? Oldies or newies? Still gutted I missed it...
They played the new album in its entirity, but not in track order.
No oldies at all. No encore.
I may be biased as I put on the show, but it was a massive triumph. Six By Seven were immense.
Hi-lights were Truce and Standing In The Light for Me.
Album will be coming out in July and hopefully we'll get the nod to put them on again at a bigger venue.
Loui_Tacceh can give a more balanced opinion tho' as I met him for the 1st time last night!
Don't know if any other DiS'ers went last night.
can't believe i missed this thread and the news they were back!
Will have to catch them next time around.
Well, that'd be tomorrow

£6 ticket, think it'll go full price as of midnight. Londoners don't know how lucky they are.
Still the same price
I'll be there, at the front, with a camera.
was really good this

what a pro
yeah they were great, more minimalistic than before
all about the two-chord build-ups now, it seems, but when they nailed it, it stayed nailed, and then stayed for a little longer. wonderful sound
richard 'echoboy' warren's new stuff was incredible - always a great guitarist but he's added a few new tricks - some of the heaviest blues I've heard
great to meet thegrudge + brother - cheers for putting on such a cool show and I'll surely be at the next one!
Cheers Loui
Great to meet you too Mate.
Really pleased you enjoyed Richard. What was your opinion of Two Skies?
May 10th @ The Hope & Anchor is our next one. Still waitng to confirm the line up, but I'll let you know when we do.
man
there are often Six By Seven threads on here. I always think they are Six PARTS Seven threads, and get excited.
Something new by them getting played on the Steve Lamacq Show this afternoon
Just made their last album free on Bandcamp if that helps anyone?
