Rachel Sermanni, Pete Roe, The Facade & Thy Last Drop, Washing Machine this Saturday
Our first co-promotion with Green Mind, promises to be truly excellent:
Saturday 2nd March
WASHING MACHINE @ The Hunter Club, Bury St Edmunds
Washing Machine is extremely pleased to welcome hotly-tipped, fast-rising folk star RACHEL SERMANNI to The Hunter Club as part of her UK tour. Hailing from the Scottish Highlands, Rachel’s outstanding 2012 debut LP, Under Mountains, was a critical smash; her new single, Ae Fond Kiss, is due for release on 25th January 2013, with all proceeds going to music therapy charity Nordoff-Robbins Tartan Clef. Support on the night comes from London-based singer songwriter (and former member of Laura Marling's band) PETE ROE, Bury Songwriters Competition 2012 winners THE FAÇADE and dirty vagabond folk-punks THE LAST DROP.

"Produced by Communion co-founder Ian Grimble, the debut album from Scottish newcomer Rachel Sermanni is one of understated bliss. The twelve finely crafted tracks that make up Under Mountains not only mark the arrival of an incredibly talented new vocalist, but a highly able multi-instrumentalist to boot. Each song flecked with a gentle beauty, Under Mountains is as close to a perfect folk record you're likely to hear this year." - Thelineofbestfit.com
