    It's easily the most harrowing Lips record I've heard (I haven't heard all the early ones)

  So is that flaming lips one above - all vague and overtreated in illustrator / photoshop. So inoffensive it might as well not be there. Literally a waste of space.

    - It is bland as all hell.
      
      I don't want to be offended of course, but I want it to be... something, a thing. This is not a thing, this is some vanilla smush to put a record inside. It apologises for itself. I like Yo La and even I haven't bothered with this one. They've always been a band with great covers too so its a shame.

      - Well I can defend the Lips' one a little better
        
        because I think it fits the music perfectly. It is otherwordly, as most of their modern covers are, but in a way that looks like you're witnessing an aliean landing or something. It is also quite harsh and bright, which matches the overbearing feel of the record. Granted, its no girl-with-a-beard, but still...

This is the best cover I've seen in this year.

According to some mush brains it is the worst. I don't get it. I know subjectivity reigns supreme in this area but objectively this is a really cool cover. I don't even like this band that much but have given it at least 3 spins on the strength of this.
