are releasing a new record, despite not being together for about 5 years, this excites me, anyone else care?
Sluts of Trust to do the same.
New stuff is sounding promising
You Got Me Fraiche is still one of the best things ever. They'd better tour this album.
better than nothing though.
spoilt rotten, we are
only just releasing previously unfinished recordings
Just to confirm it is posthumous :( Its an EP - 3 tracks, 18 minutes then an Album - 8 tracks, a shade over 45 minutes. The material will be familiar to anyone who saw us in 2005-2006 when we were wearing ugly ill-fitting white women's clothing from the sale section of TK Maxx - http://youtu.be/cG3-NogVv1Q
Once the new/old Lapsus Linguae tracks are out I'm going to be doing a new band called Dovesizedwasps - Since its a very similar lineup (keys/guitar/bass/drums/throat) and since Hopefully T-Bone ('linguae guitarist) will be part of the live show, including a couple of songs from the new linguae records when we start gigging in 2014 would be feasible, though no promises.
If you go to https://www.facebook.com/dovesizedwasps ...There is a free downloadable demo on the bandcamp tab. Though this demo is slightly more arabic funk (!) and a bit more structurally and rhythmically orthodox than linguae, the weirdness and the piano will be back in other songs.
100 wasp-sized doves or one dove-sized wasp?
...it is a war of attrition. I reckon doves are just pigeons, which are just rats, which are full of germs, so if the singular Dove-sized wasp was besieged in its castle, the tiny doves could all piss in the moat and the dove sized wasp would get thirsty and drink from the moat and get mediaeval-aids-plague. Then it'd lose.
Parade finally has a lyric!
this might be better than Kayo Dot
This Is Puberty will be the greatest album of all time
ART ROCK CREW 5EVA
Didn't go with the £5,000 one, sadly. The £125 one I'd actually consider in fatter financial times - it's a superb idea.
There are, what, 2? 3? bands I'd Kickstart IN THE WORLD
I'm right now purchasing Sing To God from the Cardiacs website. That money had better all (mostly all) go straight to Tim('s physiotherapist)!
I guess I haven't given money to either band in any gratuitous sense - there's an exchange in both cases. Paid a little more to get a little back, I suppose.
I guess if Pete Hammill fell ill, I'd help. Hopefully he has a good few years left of hale form - the gig earlier this year might be the best I've been to.
^^^a pretty comprehensive battery of my adorations
