Excellent album. But yeah, outstanding contribution to music... has David Bowie won it already? Surely his comeback should have meant he was a shoo in for it

They've been a solid middle weight band for years,
but even the NME lifetime award is a bit weird.

there shouldn't be one if they haven't got anyone left who hasn't actually made an outstanding contribution
far better it went to a producer than a band like this that hasn't really pushed any envelopes
