Patti Smith live
Worth going? I've had tickets to see her before (in 2005 and 2007) but had to let them go.
She's playing two nights at Shepherds Bush Empire in June and I'm tempted, but the £30+ price and slightly average recent setlists are making me think twice.
Anyone seen her in the last year or so?

Manic Street Preachers
Always brilliant
Seen her at least a dozen times and she's never anything less than captivating.
saw her...
...last October and aside from the odd cringeworthy decent into dodgy bebop punk poetry, she was a blast.
Saw her supporting Neail Young a couple months ago
I hate to say it but she blew him out of the water in terms of stage presence and passion
I really regret...
not seeing her at End of the Road last year and instead going back to my tent for dinner and listening to it from there. Since then I actually bothered to get Horses and it's a fucking glorious masterpiece.
She is absolutely totally brilliant
If you have any liking for her music at all, then go. You will not regret it. This is based on seeing her twice last year (EoTR and Troxy), once at Hop Farm playing a short acoustic set, and once at one of those mini-Hyde Park gigs.
Setlist-wise you get a decent handful of classics, the new songs sound better live than on album IMO, and Lenny does a nice medley of tunes from his Nuggets compilation. But really it's the passion of her performance that makes the show - preaching about Pussy Riot or introducing Because the Night with a story about how she fell in love with Fred Sonic Smith....seriously, GO.
Thanks all!
I'll be there.
